RIVER STOUR

The River Stour, forming the 47-mile boundary between Suffolk and Essex, is a scenic, rural river in East Anglia famed as "Constable Country." It flows east from Cambridgeshire through historic towns like Sudbury, Nayland and Dedham, featuring willow-lined banks, water meadows, and has a tranquil, slow-flowing character before becoming tidal at Manningtree and joining the North Sea at Harwich.

For the last 20-years I've circled the footpaths that go from Lawford Hall Farm to Dedham, then along the river through Flatford to Cattawade. Same paths, yet different every time. Weather, time of year, time of day all change dramatically each time I go to take it's picture.
