LANDSCAPE

There is a long tradition of artists recreating the landscape of this region of East Anglia, John Constable being the most famous. Constable painted what was in front of his eyes. I use what's in front of my eyes and mix it, mash it, turn it inside out through the process of montage. Some of my images are non-fiction, but mostly, they are a fictional rendering of elements that change the view. Sometimes it's just making it look like it's from another time, and sometimes it's layering shapes, colours and textures that make it look like a painting.
